ACQ Command
Applies to: ALL modes (general purpose).
The ACQ command starts or stops the current measurement acquisition from
the CT-BOX device. The device starts to acquire measurements as soon as the
command ACQ:ON is received; a stop command ACQ:OFF has to be sent in
order to terminate the data acquisition.
Note
The acquisition state at power-up depends on the start-up configuration of the device: in Saved configuration the acquisition is not active, while in Desktop configuration the acquisition starts automatically. For details, refer to the CT-BOX User’s Manual.
If a client disconnects from the CT-BOX, the unit responds in two different ways, according to its operation mode:
DLOG and DMM modes: the acquisition is not stopped, thus allowing to save data on the SD card and/or to see acquired data on the CT-BOX display;
OSC mode: the acquisition is stopped immediately.

If the command is not accepted, the unit replies with a NAK:x string,

List of the Error Codes).
Important
The data stream to the communication interface is visible only if both
the acquisition (ACQ) and the printing (PRINT) are
enabled. For more detail regarding the data representation, see
Data Representation.
Example(s):
ACQ:ON in OSC mode with PRINT enabled:
ACQ:ON
ACK
0x000001 0x00 0x41200000
0x000002 0x00 0x41200000

0x00AB04 0x00 0x41200069
0x00AB05 0x00 0x41200073
ACQ:OFF
ACK
ACQ:ON in OSC mode with PRINT enabled afterwards (note that in this
case the first acquisitions 0x01 – 0x10 are not displayed, because
the PRINT command is enabled later):
