GETA Command
Applies to: ALL modes (general purpose).
The purpose of the GETA (GET Array) command is to read back an array of
n elements of the actual measured current.
Unlike the GET command, the format of the returned measurements depends on the operation mode (see Data Representation). The output data frequency depends on the selected operation mode and on the TS, FREQ and DMM commands.
Important
GETA is available only over Ethernet TCP/IP, in all modes; it cannot be
used over the USB or RS-232 interfaces. The reply is always sent over the TCP
connection, also in OSC mode.
Note
In OSC mode the GETA reply is binary, in the same 8-byte format as the
OSC UDP data stream (24-bit sequence number, 8-bit status code and
IEEE 754 current, least significant byte first; see
Data Representation). The only
difference is that it is sent over the TCP connection instead of UDP: the
reply is 8 × n bytes, with no \r\n terminator.

int |
1 – 5000 |
Number of current measurements to read |
Note
GETA does not require the acquisition to be started with
ACQ:ON: the command itself starts a single
acquisition and returns the n measurements.
Example(s):
GETA in DLOG mode:
GETA:1
1 00 -1.1234567
GETA in OSC mode: the reply is 16 binary bytes, shown here in hexadecimal
(sequence numbers 1 and 2, status 0x00, currents of about +10 A):
GETA:2
01 00 00 00 00 00 20 41 02 00 00 00 69 00 20 41
GETA in DMM mode:
GETA:3
1 00 -1.1234567
2 00 -1.1265437
3 00 -1.1245632
